Overview
Jamie Mackie is a former professional footballer and Scotland international who works closely with Napier Sterling’s professional sportspeople, former athletes and their families with their long-term financial planning.
Jamie enjoyed a professional playing career spanning more than 16 years and 500 senior appearances. He is best known for his two spells with Queens Park Rangers, where he won
promotion to the Premier League and became a firm favourite with supporters. He also represented Wimbledon, Exeter City, Plymouth Argyle, Nottingham Forest, Reading and Oxford United. At international level, Jamie earned nine caps for Scotland and scored two goals.
Having experienced first-hand the opportunities and challenges that accompany a career in professional sport, Jamie understands the importance of receiving trusted advice, planning beyond the playing years and making sound financial decisions throughout every stage of a sporting career.
Jamie is currently completing the Chartered Insurance Institute Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. At Napier Sterling Wealth, Jamie helps build and maintain strong relationships with clients from both within and outside of the sporting world. He works closely with the firm’s financial planners and wider professional network to help clients understand their options, identify their priorities and put appropriate plans in place for themselves and their families.
