The term “Partner” is used to describe certain senior members of the firm and does not denote a legal partnership or any particular statutory position.

Regulatory

Napier Sterling Wealth Limited is an Appointed Representative of Opus Independent Financial Planning which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”).

Details of our regulatory status and permissions can be found on the Financial Services Register maintained by the FCA.

Our regulated activities are carried out in accordance with the rules and requirements of the FCA.

Our services

Napier Sterling Wealth provides financial planning and wealth management services to individuals, families, business owners and other clients.

The precise nature and scope of the services we provide to you, including whether we are providing regulated financial advice, will be set out in our client agreement and other relevant documentation.

Where we provide investment advice, any recommendation will be based on the information you provide to us regarding your circumstances, objectives, financial position, investment experience, attitude to investment risk and capacity for loss.

The value of investments can fall as well as rise and you may not get back the amount originally invested. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.

Fees

Our fees and charges will be agreed with you and set out in our client agreement and/or other relevant fee documentation before the relevant services are provided.

Where our services involve third-party providers, investment managers, platforms or investment funds, additional charges may apply. Where applicable, these will be explained as part of our advice and disclosure process.

VAT

Napier Sterling Wealth Limited is not currently registered for VAT and therefore does not charge VAT on its fees.

Complaints

We are committed to providing a high standard of service. If at any stage you have concerns about the service you have received or wish to make a complaint, please tell the person handling your matter as soon as possible so that we have the opportunity to address your concerns.

If your concerns cannot be resolved promptly, they will be treated as a formal complaint and investigated in accordance with our complaints procedure and the applicable FCA rules.

We will acknowledge your complaint and keep you informed of its progress. For complaints subject to the usual FCA complaints-handling timetable, we will provide you with our final response within eight weeks of receiving your complaint. Different timescales may apply to certain categories of complaint where required by FCA rules.

Our final response will explain the outcome of our investigation and, where applicable, your right to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (“FOS”).

If you are an eligible complainant and remain dissatisfied with our final response, you may be entitled to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service free of charge.

Ordinarily, you must refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service within six months of the date of our final response. Further information about the Financial Ombudsman Service, including eligibility and applicable time limits, is available from the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Financial Services Compensation Scheme

We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (“FSCS”).

You may be entitled to compensation from the FSCS if we are unable to meet our financial obligations. Whether you are eligible for compensation, and the amount of compensation available, will depend upon the circumstances of your claim and the type of regulated activity concerned.
